I love ISU. I have great memories of my time there. I have bad ones too but even the bad ones made me a better person in the end.

So this didn't post either. I can't seem to figure out my app issues. Ugh.

This is my favorite church craft that Gabrielle has done. On the red paper she wrote any sin she's done. Then she covered the sin with Jesus. You can't see the sin anymore because Jesus covers our sins with his death. It's a great visual.

One of my favorite things about January is the annual Kennedy/Quinn/Liz Christmas get together. Through the years we've found it easier to meet after the craziness of December. We don't see each other nearly enough through out the year but I treasure each visit.

This is my favorite lazy cat. She is a bit crazy. She will eat bagels if we leave the package on the counter. Actually any bread she will eat. She has knocked cakes and cupcakes off counters in hopes of opening the container. She like dirty dishes in the sink. We feed her but apparently not enough.

This is my favorite picture of me as a toddler. I fell in the one mud puddle in the whole park. I've never been graceful!
PS I added this yesterday but it didn't post. Ugh. I'm still trying to figure out why it sometimes doesn't post. It only happens on the phone app. Either I'm doing something wrong or there is a glitch.

I thought this posted yesterday but it didn't. This blanket was a wedding gift. It is our family's favorite and we fight over it.

One of my favorite treats is Girl Scout Cookies. I'm not happy with the way Gabrielle has to sell the cookies this year. I had to guess how much she would sell. If she doesn't sell them then I have to buy them all. Ugh. Here's hoping she reaches her goal!

This is my lunch box from grade school. I've always had a love of Garfield. Gabrielle fell in love with Garfield this summer. She now uses this lunch box to take to school. She has Mike's Garfield comic book. And she loves borrow the Sunday paper from grandparents.

I love board games. I love family game night. I've been playing board games with Gabrielle all evening and we are having a blast. She got the turkey in Hedbanz. She had no clue why I was laughing until she saw it.

I love Christmas music. It's my favorite. I could listen to it year round if my family let me.

Kidsview is my church's version of Sunday school. From birth to high school there are special morning services depending on age of the child. I've been blessed to help on and off for almost 5 years. My picture of the day is if my cup with the Kidsview slogan. Making Jesus Smile!

One of my favorite January events is the maze. Our church does this annually. Great indoor fun!

Day 8

I had a hard time deciding on what to do with my name when I got married. Do I keep my maiden name? Do I hyphenate? Do I take my hubby's and drop mine? I loved my maiden name. It was the only thing that told people that I was Greek. I look like my Irish heritage not my Greek. I was debating for a long time. I even created Quinnopoulos out of both names (that was only jokingly but I liked it. I even named a cocktail that at our reception.) I went to the State Fair for work about 5 weeks before our wedding. I saw the sign makers. I had made up my mind but wanted to tell Mike in a special way. So I had this sign made and gave it to him as a present. He was happily surprised. The sign hangs in our living room.

Day 7

One of my favorite things is doing homework with Gabrielle. I love finding extra worksheets to help her in trouble areas. She does homework on school breaks. I try to keep her school content up to date so she doesn't forget everything over breaks. I guess it's the teacher in me.

To continue on favorites this is my favorite iPhone/iPad game. Gabrielle and I enjoy playing this game together. I never thought I'd like this type of game up I'm hooked.

Day 5

Anyone who really knows me knows my favorite animal is a giraffe. I collect them. I have been obsessed with them since high school. I use to be teased for me height, long legs, and long neck. Kids can be cruel. I took comfort in the graceful, beautiful giraffe. A baby giraffe gave me confidence that you can be awkward yet grow into something amazing. That's what I strive for.

Day 4

These are two of my favorite things from my wedding. The sand from our ceremony was special. I have another blog all about it. If our house was burning down and all living things were out and I could save only one thing, it would be the sand box. The cake topper is my favorite. When we started our relationship I was a runner or a quitter. I had been hurt too badly too many times before. I was trying to protect myself. That is why I picked this topper. I'm still a runner and Mike is still chasing me after all these years.

My puppies are amazing. I love them to pieces. They are two of my favorite living things.

Day 1

I'm attempting to take a photo and blog each day. I did this in 2011. I loved it. Some days will have serious blogs, some will be short, some will be silly. I missed blogging every day of 2012. Going into last year I thought I was blogged out. But what I realized is that I need a schedule to blog or I forget. This month I'm on a theme if my favorite things. One of my favorite things is books. I love to read. One of my resolutions is to read more books than last year. For the last two years I have kept notes of every book I read and everyone Gabrielle and I have read together. I need to count them up and figure out a goal for this year. I started today with my first book of 2013. It was a Christmas gift. I love the author Mitch Albom. I've read all of his books. They inspire me. I'm loving The Time Keeper so far.
