I'm giving Instagram a try. I've been dragging my feet because I wasn't sure it was going to stay around. I don't like when I plugged into some new app or website and then it falls apart. But I think Instagram is here to stay. Here is the first picture I posted on there.

Every spring the third grade classes get to hatch chicks in their class room. How cool! Here are the ones from Gabrielle's class.

We had a great day off. We cleaned, went to lunch, played at a park, practiced catching and throwing, and finally walked to uptown Normal for some great frozen yogurt.

Today Gabrielle's school had a volunteer appreciation breakfast. This is the cute thank you note I received.

I forgot to post this last night. I was much better at this two years ago. Anyway I thought it was cute that Gabrielle was wearing a Muppet shirt during puppet practice.

Church was good today. Kidsview's big idea was repenting and turning away from sin. This was a great lesson that hit home. Gabrielle and I had a great conversation in a back hallway at church about this. The chat was completely unplanned. I'm praying the conversation will lead to her changing her bad behavior that seems to be the norm the last few weeks. She hasn't been getting into trouble any where but home. So she saves her acting out for us though her grades have taken a hit lately. I'm just praying the big idea helps her realize saying sorry and repeating behavior is not the right way to do things in life. We talked about how you start to not believe the apologizes when the person keeps doing the thing they are apologizing for. It was a very deep and good chat. This afternoon we played catch. Then as a family went geocaching and for a walk. We need that.

Concert night. Here is Gabrielle and her teacher. I love this picture. I have to say I was so worried about this school year because I love her second grade teacher so much. And I got to become friends with her. I wasn't ready to move on. But I had nothing to worry about. Her third grade teacher is amazing, helpful, friendly, and really funny. We are having a great school year.

I know I'm late to YouTube. I go on there now and then when I need a laugh or to find educational videos for Gabrielle. When Gabrielle and I were sick together we used it to rediscover 80s commercials so she could see some toys I had when I was little. Then I got her hooked to Punky Brewester, I dream of Jeanie, and Bewitched. Here's a screen shot of my favorite YouTube channel. Simon's Cat never fails to make me laugh.

I took this picture yesterday but forgot to post. Oops. Gabrielle earned her first aid patch at Girl Scouts. She knew a lot of the first aid questions the nurses asked. Made me very proud.

Tonight was the annual Hoose carnival. We had a blast. Mike worked two hours at the radar pitch. He's a saint. I helped with the glitter fairy tattoo. Gabrielle had fun with her good friend. It was a total success.

Yes! It's finally happening. My show was canceled too soon and abruptly. There was never any closure. They ended the season thinking that there would be a fourth season but they were canceled. Kickstarter campaign happened. I donated and the film is being made. Yea! Filing starts this summer!

This year I've been blessed to help with the children's drama team at church. Simply put I love it. These kids are fun to watch and coach. The lady I volunteer with is creative and funny. I'm having a blast.

I had a woodpecker visitor today. At first I thought it was injured, maybe it's wing was broken. It let me get super close to it. After I went inside it flew off. So it just wanted to hang out for a little while I guess.

We have 3 baby moles in our back yard. Dallas and Maisy found them first but didn't harm them. The mommy dug a safe spot under Gabrielle's slide. The black mass in the middle is one of them.

We had a great time at Miller Park Zoo until we got achy and realized we were getting the cold that Mike had earlier in the week. Ugh. Here are a few of my favorites from the day.

Finally the weather is wonderful. Mike and I walked the dogs to the school to pick Gabrielle up. The doggies were worn out but happy.

As Gabrielle gets older it becomes a bit hardy to find books to read together that we both enjoy. This Frankly Frannie series was a lucky find. We are both really enjoying it.
